Chocolate Caramel Apple RecipeWould you believe this is my first fall project 😉
I’ve been seeing these fancy apples everywhere and I even bought one from my niece last year for a school fundraiser.
Finally my DIY attitude kicked in and I told myself I could do this!
These were my first try, I will be working on them until I perfect the chocolate coating. No really 😉
I will do my best to make them once a week until I get sick of them.
I used all these easy melting ingredients!

These look beautiful. Do they need to be refrigerated when finished? Also, how long will they last ? I am making as hostess gifts.

HI Pam,
You should refrigerate after you create your gourmet apples, unless you’re like me…eat them right away! They should be good for 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Debbie when you cut/bite into them did the outer part stay on the apple or did it crackle to pieces?

Hey Norma, I usually cut them with a knife!

Beautiful job. They look amazing. Unfortunately we are GF so I would have to do some searching to find caramel etc that would accommodate our needs. Sigh.
Where did you get your bowls? Their cute too!

I want to make these for my children’s school fall festival. Where did you find the bags and what size are they? Thanks!

I bought them at Hobby Lobby, in the baking section. I just moved and I’m not sure of the size, but I think you will be able to tell by looking at them to see if an apple will fit 🙂

A candy-maker gave me the tip to melt white chocolate into the caramel. It makes the caramel so soft and yummy.
