Why is RCI calling me? ›

RCI will NEVER contact you to buy, rent or sell your timeshare ownership, deposited RCI weeks, RCI Points or any type of “extra/bonus” weeks on your behalf. Additionally, RCI will never proactively contact you and ask for your RCI.com username or password.

You may “rent” Points if you don't have enough Points for your desired vacation, and you don't wish to Borrow Points from your next use year.

The Enhanced Online Search Experience at RCI.com simplifies the holiday planning process by giving you access to see Exchange, Holiday Rentals, and Bonus Weeks all at once.

While RCI denies it did anything wrong, a Settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit that claims that RCI, LLC violated certain consumer protection and other laws by renting timeshare inventory deposited by members of the RCI Points Exchange Program.

You may cancel your membership by notifying RCI by telephone or in writing.

RCI Points subscription fees start at $124 per year. Be aware that RCI points fees can range significantly higher — for example, if you combine RCI points with a Platinum membership, or if you purchase a deposit extension or RCI Points protection.

Don't own a Timeshare? RCI's core business is exchange vacations – helping timeshare owners to exchange their vacation ownership for time at other affiliated resorts. So, to enjoy exchange benefits through RCI®, you must own a timeshare to exchange.

“What is the 1 in 4 rule. I'm trying to book this resort through RCI but I get this Msge that the 1 in 4 rule applies..” I don't know if you have stayed at this resort in the past. But I believe it means that you can only stay/exchange at this resort 1 time every 4 years.

(c) If you fail to pay your Membership Fee, Accommodation Expenses or amounts otherwise owed when due, the Network Administrator may suspend the use of your RCI Points until such time that payment is made, in full.

The general consensus is that II has higher quality resorts (Marriott and Starwood) than RCI. Owners like that II's membership and exchange fees are cheaper than RCI's.

Your only defense is education and knowing that ANYONE contacting you asking for an upfront fee to sell or rent your Timeshare is someone you should avoid at all costs!
